Common questions
A few things goalie coaches ask us most.
- What does it cost?
- GoalieBook is currently free for coaches for a limited time. Card payments processed through Stripe carry standard Stripe fees, passed through to the family at checkout. E-transfers carry no GoalieBook fee.
- What payment methods do you support?
- Credit cards via Stripe Checkout, and e-transfer (Interac). E-transfer registrations sit in a pending state until the coach marks them paid.
- Do I need to set up Stripe myself?
- If you want to accept card payments, you'll connect Stripe from the dashboard. It takes a few minutes. Stripe handles identity verification and the money lands in your bank account directly. If you only want to accept e-transfer for now, you can skip Stripe entirely.
- Do goalies need to create an account to register?
- Yes. Goalie accounts give you cleaner repeat registrations because families can pick a saved goalie, review their registrations, and confirm payment status without asking you.
- Can I issue refunds?
- Yes. Refund any registration from your roster with one click. For card payments, Stripe handles the refund and the family gets a confirmation. For e-transfer, mark the registration refunded once you've sent the e-transfer back manually.
- What happens to my data if I leave?
- You can export your roster as a CSV anytime. Your data is yours.
